45º Split Sweeps

For making bends in the ground or for risers out of the ground.

CRS's SPLIT SWEEPS are industry leading sweeps manufactured from CRS's SPLIT CONDUIT. They are great for 45 degree turns in the ground or for 45 degree risers coming up out of the ground. Just as with the SPLIT CONDUIT, when snapped together, the unique interlocking design of the SPLIT SWEEPS creates a smooth, tight seal protecting the cable of fiber optics from weathering.

CRS's 45Â° SPLIT SWEEPS are ETL listed* and meet the standards and specifications of UL 651.

No tape, plastic or metal straps are needed to seal or provide extra strength to the SPLIT SWEEPS.

Please note that it is necessary to use CRS SPLIT COUPLINGS and/or SPLIT ADAPTER COUPLINGS to connect the sweeps to our SPLIT CONDUIT or to standard PVC pipe.

What is the difference between horizontal and vertical split sweeps?

Our split conduit repair products snap and lock together with the locking ridges located on the sides of the split conduit. We have manufactured our split sweeps with bends in two different directions so as to allow the locking ridges to always remain on the sides. Our vertical sweeps are manufactured with a bend that would normally be used to come up vertically as a riser out of the ground, such as up a pole or into a pedestal. Our horizontal sweeps are manufactured with a bend that allows the sweep to make a turn while remaining in the ground and still maintaining the locking ridges on the sides of the sweep.
